Shrimp is one of those dishes that often goes overlooked by home cooks, but it is a simple and often elegant meal that will impress guests and family alike. It’s also a relatively inexpensive protein. You can easily get cleaned, fresh and uncooked shrimp at the grocery store these days. With 4 simple ingredients you probably have in your fridge and pantry right now, you really should try this recipe at least once!Buttered Italian Shrimp Recipe | Miss Information (3)

I gave this recipe to my friend Melanie over at The Painted Chandelier, and she has made it quite a few times for her house of boys. She loves it, mainly because it’s so easy to make, and it’s something different than their typical weeknight meals. Italian Shrimpis one of the best andeasiestshrimprecipes I have ever made, or eaten!

There is just nothing better than a recipe with few ingredients that can work for a weeknight dinner or as a fancy appetizer for parties. Your guests will never know how simple this was to make. Slightly tangy, full of decadent butter and lemon – it’s just perfection. Just add some cute toothpicks from the party store, serve on a beautiful bed of greens, and you’re set.

Serve the buttered Italian shrimp with a crusty baguette for dipping, anda side salad.

I promise you will not bedisappointed! Give it a try and let me know what you think! Enjoy.

    1. I'm sure it would work fine if the directions say you can put it in the oven frozen and cook to thaw. You can put the seasoning and butter on while it's frozen then bake it in the oven to thaw.

  5. I prepared this recipe last night for dinner. It was incredible! A lady shared it with me at the grocery store, and WOW am I glad she did!! I used frozen peeled shrimp with tails on and removed the tails after they were thawed. I found the shrimp to be perfectly seasoned!! It tasted like shrimp scampi without all the fuss. Thanks for the easy recipe! I look forward to making other dishes from your website...

  6. I prepared this recipe for dinner this evening. It was easy, and the shrimp were very moist. My husband loved it, but I was a bit disappointed that they were not more flavorful. Once the shrimp were peeled, they were a bit bland. Maybe my taste buds are off today. Will make it again just to see.
